One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish!

A few days ago, we decided to take the kids to the Seaside Aquarium. Chris and I had been about 12 or so years ago, and he and I have never really been into animals and animal activities, but we had so much fun!

First, we stopped at Ter Har's for Flannery, who had been saving her money for a Dakine Fannypack.

I love the Big Skates (like a Manta Ray)and their faces on their bellies! So weird!

This is a Wolf Eel. They have been known to destroy fishing boats with their powerful tails.

Both Cannon and Flannery enjoyed petting the fish at the pet tank...though they have sea urchin as well, which are very pokey!!!

Flannery's favorite thing was feeding the seals...$1 per tray of sliced up sardines...and she continued to go back (6 times!) and buy more with her own money (which she kept in her fannypack).
Her fingers smelled like fish for hours, no matter how many times she washed them!

One of the coolest things was when the Giant Pacific Octopus woke from its slumber and started crawling all over the tank. They are so strange and wonderful.
