When I see someone I haven't seen for a long time, I get nervous and self conscious. I have gained 80 pounds in the last 11 years. I am constantly pulling at my clothes, trying on shirt after shirt before I go anywhere, let alone catch up with an old friend. Today, I got to reunite with Robin Mulherin, my childhood BFF.
She, her 4 daughters and her mom came to Seaside and I met them at the outlet mall. She looks the same. Even up close, she lacks wrinkles and chub. She's so pretty. We caught up while school clothes shopping for her girls and our initial hug lasted forever. I have missed my friend.
